Update: 27/05/2016

BEC’s Lawrence Weston solar farm is now under construction, and is scheduled to be completed this June.

Its next roof-top solar installation is scheduled for Coniston Community Centre, also in June.

BEC has extended this share offer until the 31 July 2016, in order to raise the funds for its other planned roof-top installations. These need to be completed over the summer.

The next allocation of shares will be to investors who have applied by 31 May 2016, with interest accruing on the shares from that date.

Update: 29/03/2016

BEC has extended their share offer until the 31st of May 2016.  There is significant local and national media coverage expected over the coming weeks and the appetite of people who wish to participate in community-owned solar energy is set to increase further still. Clean energy generation levels are above expectations for the operational site, which is also great news for investors.

Update: 27/01/2016

The Puriton Solar farm was completed and purchased by Bristol Energy Cooperative in December 2015, and is now generating electricity and income for the co-op.

The BEC board have decided to extended the share offer till the31 March 2016 following the procedure outlined on page 17 of the offer document.

The next allocation of shares will be to investors who have applied by 31 January 2016, with interest accruing on the shares from that date.

Following that, the next allocation of shares will be to investors who have applied by 29 February 2016 (unless the offer is fully subscribed before then), with interest accruing on those shares from that date.

Update: 08/01/2016

Bristol Energy Cooperative has been pursuing several alternative funding arrangements for its current project portfolio. It is in final discussions regarding a £1.5 million loan facility and is now in a position to reduce the Share offer target to £1.3 million. This does not change investor terms as outlined in the share or bond offer documents.
