We want to find out what really motivates people to invest positively and help providers better understand what products they should offer to encourage people to invest and save positively. The study will help us grow the sector and get more people saving and investing positively to finance a better world.
Building understanding of the sector
The UK social investment sector is seeing strong growth whether that’s through crowdfunding platforms, community share issues or by people switching their savings, investments or pension to a more ethical provider. But despite this growth, there is still very little understanding of what kind of people social investment actually appeals to and what motivates them to get involved. This survey will help us answer some key questions: To which segments of society does positive investment most appeal? What attracts people to positive investment and what motivates them? How big is the potential market and where are the best opportunities for growth?
Largest survey ever on positive investment
Seven of the UK’s leading practitioners providing positive social and environmental investment opportunities have come together to commission the largest survey ever conducted of the general public on their appetite for social investment. The project is being carried out by Ethex, IFF Research, and funded by the Social Investment Research Council. The final report, published in the autumn, will provide a common basis for all social investment providers to understand better how to focus their limited resources on growing the market and making positive investment and saving accessible to all.
As a valued member of the positive investing community, we would love your input. Our online survey only takes 20 minutes to complete.
You can stop and come back to the survey at any time if you need to. Any information that you do provide will be kept confidential and completely anonymous. If you would like help with filling out survey, please contact Ethex at email@example.com or call 01865 403 304. Answers to the survey should be completed by 5th July. We plan to give all those who have taken the survey access to the results once complete. We will be publishing a report that will summarise all our findings. Watch this space!
Thank you for your time!
