When we published our 10-Years of Impact Report in 2023, we marked a decade of proving that everyday people could use their money to fund real, positive change. It showed how £1.2 million in support helped unlock £120 million of investment through the Ethex platform and the incredible social and environmental impact that helped create.
Since then, we've been working to go further to trace investments through to the communities they strengthen, the carbon they mitigate, and the lives changed for the better. Our vision hasn't changed, but our reach keeps growing
Since 2013, Ethex has existed to make direct impact investing accessible to everyone by connecting people who want their money to mean something with organisations that are proving a fairer, greener economy is possible.
That mission is the same today as it was when we started and we keep getting closer to achieving it. In 2024/25, 762 people made their very first impact investment through Ethex, and successful raises exceeded their targets, raising an average of 128%. These figures represent change in how people are choosing to invest.
We're aiming for £250 million invested through the platform by 2030, with each pound invested reaching the organisations working hard to solve the problems that affect us all today.

There is a gap in fair, accessible funding for the organisations working hardest on climate and social change. Community energy projects, affordable lenders and community housing initiatives are too often seen as too small or too risky by mainstream finance. Ethex exists to close that gap. We vet, curate and list ethical investment opportunities, build confidence, and connect investors directly with the organisations that need them.
