Ethex Cuppa Club webinar with Solar for Schools

Solar for Schools strongly believes that the next generation is key to us reaching our sustainability goals as a society, so they install clean-energy generating solar panels on school rooftops around the UK. Not only do these panels create clean solar energy for the schools, but also fund sustainability education programmes while making substantial savings for the schools on their energy bills.

These projects are funded by a community of socially-minded investors and through their previous bond offers on the Ethex platform, they have raised over £3 million.

To date, installations by Solar for Schools have generated 19,228 MWh of solar electricity, enough to drive an electric car around the world 2,399 times. This has avoided 7,802 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.

But just as importantly, their educational programmes have inspired around 80,000 students to fight climate change, starting with the installation of clean solar energy on their schools!

They have just launched their 6th Innovative Finance ISA eligible bond offer on Ethex that will enable them to help more UK schools generate their own clean energy.

On the webinar, Ethex CEO, Lisa Ashford will speak to Robert Schrimpff, Director of Solar for Schools to learn more about the organisation, the impact they have had to date, their future goals and why they are passionate about introducing practical sustainability into the UK school curriculum.

We’ll discuss with them how their innovative approach can help provide the building blocks that we need to tackle the climate crisis and how people across the UK can use their money to support them while targeting a financial return.
