The bigger picture

Every 3 minutes someone in the UK develops dementia. Providing social contact is very important for people with dementia, particularly, in our new world of social distancing and COVID-19 lockdowns. MindforYou recognise the:

  • Needs of those unpaid carers and families, 40% of whom provide care for more than 100 hours a week for their loved one with dementia. 
  • Importance of quality and since 2015 have refined their tailored holidays in high-quality dementia-friendly accommodation for people living with dementia and their families.

Interest accrual and payment

MindforYou will aim to pay 3% interest each year on the investment (4% on the first £275k invested). Interest will be accrued from share allocation date with the first payment being made at a time agreed by the board, but no earlier than a year from the date of share allocation. The first year’s interest will be pro rata.

Getting your money out

MindforYou is offering community shares which are "withdrawable" shares. These cannot be bought or sold on any market place and are not transferable. Although shares in MindforYou are withdrawable from Year 3 onwards, this is at the discretion of the directors, and you may not be able to withdraw the full amount you purchased if MindforYou does not have sufficient funds available at the time you want to withdraw.
