Double Success! The team at Ethex are celebrating the success of two recent renewable energy bond offers on the platform.
The team at Ethex are very happy to share the news about the success of two recent renewable energy bond offers on the platform.In February we launched an IFISA-eligible bond offer for Gawcott Solar, looking to raise £418,550 to enable this extraordinary community energy organisation to continue to thrive and produce clean, solar energy. The offer closed more than two weeks early, having been fully funded.
The funds from investments will be used to free up income for Gawcott Fields community solar farm funnel into grants and community initiatives with an estimated £2,824,000 million going to local initiatives over the array’s lifetime. This is a fantastic result for the local community as well as for the future of this impactful organisation in tackling climate change.
Following this, in early March, we launched a SITR-eligible bond offer for Your Energy Your Way. This offer also filled quickly, raising almost £250,000 to enable this growing renewable energy solutions business to launch a ground-breaking training scheme providing hands-on training to fill the skills gap in the renewable energy installation market, where demand is higher than availability.
Your Energy Your Way is also seeking to increase diversity within the renewable energy sector by encouraging female applicants of all ages and from a wide range of backgrounds, creating secure job opportunities. The training scheme will allow them to grow their business in line with demand by providing a home-grown workforce that will increase profitability and make more carbon savings.
We want to say a big, heartfelt thank you to all the positive investors who used their money to support these two organisations that are supporting the growth of home-grown renewable energy generation in the UK in different ways, while both providing a social impact in their local areas. It’s reassuring to see so many investors wanting to invest directly in organisations seeking to create a greener and fairer future while targeting decent returns on their investments.
