Resilient Energy Mounteneys Renewables (REMR) is raising £2,754,000 to build two 500kW wind turbines in Kingswood, Gloucestershire. REMR aims to invest surplus in projects that will build community resilience and offers a return on investment.
REMR is a Community Benefit Society set up to deliver community resilience through community-owned renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy education. Read more
The Society aims to raise up to £2,754,000 from this Share Offer to prepare for the construction and subsequently install a single 500kW wind turbine at Mounteney’s Farm and a further single 500kW wind turbine at Cherry Rock Farm.
REMR aims to build community resilience against resource depletion, climate change and austerity through clean energy generation and by supporting educational and/or other community activities which promote awareness of environmental and related issues.
The Society's aims to support local community resilience initiatives, especially those that alleviate fuel poverty for low-income residents through the deployment of community-owned generating capacity.
The Society aims to remove 200 homes from fuel poverty by reducing energy bills.
