Stockwood Community Benefit Society

Governance and people

Stockwood CBS is Stockwood Community Benefit Society Limited, an Industrial and Provident Society for the Benefit of the Community, registered in England & Wales on 11th December 2012 (number 31920R). The Society is owned by its investors, with each investor having one vote.

Governance

The board is democratically elected from the membership of Stockwood annually, with one third of directors retiring each year. Only Natasha Ramm as representative of the Custodian Trustee of the Biodynamic Land Trust, and Joshua Malkin as representative of Custodian Trustee, Elysia Commons Limited, will not be elected by the membership but by appointment of the respective Custodian Boards, which have automatic board representation and a veto on constitutional change to mitigate against mission drift in the future.

Total number of shares in issue

The society are looking to issue 550,000 shares at £1 a share for this offer.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will be held each April on Rush Farm and will include a tour of the farm and the business park. 

People

Management

Stockwood Community Benefit Society's sole activities are the collection of rents and the management of the Business Park and its tenants. The Society does not employ any staff and contracts out these activities as below:
