West Derry Co-op aims to pay members interest on average of 5.9% over the lifetime of the project with capital being repaid in equal instalments from years 4 to 20, at the directors' discretion. This gives an overall IRR of 7%, rising to 10.4% with EIS. Please note that this is a long term investment and returns are likely to be lower in the early years.

The project’s purpose is to generate electricity from the wind resource available and to reduce the reliance of the Glen Isla area on fossil fuels.
The surplus after payment of interest to members will be donated to the local community.
A Community Fund will be established which will contribute to the Alyth Primary School Parent Staff Association.
