Why am I hearing from Ethex?
Derril Water Co-op has appointed Ethex to provide registrar services for your Derril Water investment. This means your records, documentation, and investor services will now be managed securely by Ethex.
When will my Derril Water investment show in my portfolio?
Once you have completed the form and provided your details, we will create your account on our platform after two to three weeks. Following this, your Derril Water shares will be added to your account, and you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to set up your password and log in.
Do I need to pay anything to use Ethex?
No. Setting up your account and accessing your Derril Water investment on Ethex is completely free.

Why do I need to set up an account with Ethex?
Derril Water Co-op do not hold your bank details and other personal information needed to set up your Ethex account. By setting up your own account on Ethex, you remain fully in control of the personal information provided, and we can ensure your details and payments are handled securely. What will I be able to do on Ethex?
Your new dashboard will allow you to:
- View your investment portfolio and receive investment alerts from Derril Water Co-Op.
- Receive payments and update your personal details and communication preferences
- Opt in to hear about other impactful investment opportunities on Ethex through this link
What about share certificates?
If share certificates apply to your investment, these will be issued once you’ve completed the onboarding process. You’ll receive a notification when they’re ready.
What happens to my member payments?
You can choose where member payments are sent. Either directly to your bank account or to your Ethex wallet, where you can withdraw funds or reinvest in other opportunities. Please note that all the payments, by default, will go to your Ethex wallet.
What if the member has passed away? (Probate)
If you are dealing with the estate of a member, please contact probate@ethex.org.uk and our team will guide you through the probate process. We will need to see certain documents (such as the death certificate and Grant of Probate) before we can update the records.
Can I hold my investment jointly or transfer it to someone else?
Investments are usually held in a single name. If you need to discuss joint holdings, transfers, or making changes to who holds the investment, please get in touch at registry@ethex.org.uk
What if I change my bank account details?
You can update your bank account information securely in your Ethex dashboard at any time.
What if I already have an Ethex account?
If you’ve used Ethex before, you can log in with your existing account. Once you complete the ID check, your Derril Water investment will be added to your portfolio.
What if I don’t want to set up an Ethex account?
To continue receiving member payments and access your membership records, you will need to open an Ethex account. This is the only way we can provide you with secure investor services.
