Ekopia is a society for the benefit of the community located in Findhorn, a spiritual community, ecovillage and international centre for holistic education first founded in 1962.

What they do

Ekopia raises funds to support local community enterprises in the West Moray region that fit with the mission of the community. These include being an investor in affordable housing, a renewable wind park, a wholefoods and crafts shop and a local currency scheme. Read more

Financial performance

Ekopia continues to generate sufficient profits to cover its commitments to shareholders. In 2013, Ekopia retained a small surplus for the year after payment of 3.8% interest to shareholders.
