A panel of experts examine the broad range of benefits generated by the community energy sector and what's needed to help it achieve its potential.

Join Ethex for a webinar that examines the broad range of benefits generated by the community energy sector and how, with sufficient investment, the community energy model can be replicated in communities across the UK, providing a continuous cycle of funding for local carbon-cutting initiatives.
We believe that now is the time for everyday people to step up and support Community Energy initiatives, and our mission is to help more people understand the massive potential of these grassroots projects to create impact not just within the energy sector, but across society as a whole.
We will be joined by Alan Whitehead, MP and Shadow Minister for Energy Security, as well as representatives from Community Energy England, Younity, Power to Change, and Community Energy Together, to discuss the full range of beneficiaries of community energy projects.
We’ll discuss how the growing community energy sector is:
  • Increasing the amount of clean energy we produce - cutting carbon emissions,
  • Empowering and educating communities to take control of their energy generation, and support a more flexible energy system for the future
  • Generating community benefit funds that enable vital community initiatives and energy efficiency schemes  to thrive
  • Educating and bringing communities together to achieve net zero at at local level
  • Enabling everyday people to invest and be a part of the future success of the community energy sector

They will also take questions from attendees in a Q&A session.
