A 45-minute live online chat, part of the Ethex Cuppa Club series, to hear directly from Kent Community Energy

This 45-minute live online chat, part of the Ethex Cuppa Club series, will give potential investors the chance to hear directly from Kent Community Energy about their latest £400,000 community share offer.
The discussion will cover KCE’s vision for a cleaner, fairer energy future, what the share offer will fund, how it works, and how investors can support this vision. Attendees will also be able to put their questions to Michael and Jeroen. The share offer will fund a portfolio of rooftop solar projects across Kent, reducing carbon emissions, cutting energy bills, and empowering communities.
Projects will include solar installations at care centres, community halls, colleges, and the iconic Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch heritage railway, which is starting its clean energy journey from coal to solar. Investments start at £100, with a target 6% annual return, making it an accessible and impactful way to take tangible climate action.
Investments will fund projects installing 400 kW of solar capacity, cutting bills for participating organisations by around 25%, preventing 150 tonnes of CO₂ annually, and growing KCE’s community grants pot to £80,000 per year by 2028. Kent Community Energy has a strong track record, having generated 35 million kWh of clean electricity to date and awarded £40,000 in community grants.
This new share offer represents a step change in scale, proving that solar power can support environmental goals while benefiting care services, education, heritage, and community wellbeing. The share offer is live now on Ethex.org.uk and will close on 31 October 2025 or once fully funded. Early investment in the offer will help accelerate installations and maximise impact. Register to join us for the webinar to learn how you can be part of this people-powered energy movement.
