Pedal and Post Ltd
Company no. 08517098
Oxfordshire, UK
Incorporation date: 7 May 2013

Your money will…

  • Take action against climate change and air pollution from traffic emissions and reduce congestion by providing a cleaner and faster alternative to van deliveries.

  • Create secure and ethical employment opportunities for cycle riders that replace the pay-per-parcel practices of many courier companies

  • Support this pioneering business to expand to Reading and beyond, putting more cargo bikes on the road

  • Earn a potential return The Directors intend to sell the business within the next 5 to 7 years with an estimated rate of return of 16% (IRR) per annum.

The bigger picture

The UK deliveries market grew from £6.9 billion in 2013 to £13.9 billion in 2021, with 3 in 10 retail sales now made online. Continued reliance on traditional delivery vans will have a negative impact on city streets. Established in 2013, Oxford-based eco-courier company Pedal and Post aims to reduce that impact. Here’s how:

  • Providing ultra-low emission deliveries that support national courier companies and local businesses desire to cut their carbon footprint.
  • Supporting the transition to a zero-carbon transport system - a vital step towards cutting the UK’s carbon emissions. Cargo bikes emit 92% less C02 per kilometre than diesel vans.
  • Offering a faster and cost-effective solution for last-mile deliveries that avoids traffic congestion and improves air quality, helping to improve public health..
  • Creating more green jobs in the delivery sector that will pay London Living Wage and offer additional benefits for riders.

Where your money goes

It’s your money so it follows that you want to know where it goes and what kind of impact you’re making.

  • It will enable Pedal and Post to expand into Reading and other cities, offering courier companies such as existing customers DPD, Yodel and local businesses a greener alternative for their product deliveries
  • It will create around 100 new jobs, helping to boost the local economy and improve lives by offering quality employment by a company that cares
  • It will strengthen the Pedal and Post core team, enabling this groundbreaking business to grow and thrive in the future
  • It will help to mitigate around 9 grams of C02 emissions per second by 2028, helping us reach our net-zero goals while delivering cleaner air and less congested roads.
