We wanted to update you on some of the latest happenings at Pedal and Post.
Funds raised from the equity share offer so far are already helping us to grow the business.
We have some exciting new contracts coming in, including:
- DPD is expanding deliveries with Pedal & Post after a successful pilot adding 3 more delivery routes adding 300 more parcels a day
- Evri - our third parcel carrier begins a pilot with Pedal & Post (using EV cargo bikes built in Oxfordshire)
- 10 Oxford University colleges move talks forward on freight consolidation project with Pedal & Post

The bigger picture
The UK deliveries market grew from £6.9 billion in 2013 to £13.9 billion in 2021, with 3 in 10 retail sales now made online. Continued reliance on traditional delivery vans will have a negative impact on city streets. Established in 2013, Oxford-based eco-courier company Pedal and Post aims to reduce that impact. Here’s how:
- Providing ultra-low emission deliveries that support national courier companies and local businesses desire to cut their carbon footprint.
- Supporting the transition to a zero-carbon transport system - a vital step towards cutting the UK’s carbon emissions. Cargo bikes emit 92% less C02 per kilometre than diesel vans.
- Offering a faster and cost-effective solution for last-mile deliveries that avoids traffic congestion and improves air quality, helping to improve public health..
- Creating more green jobs in the delivery sector that will pay London Living Wage and offer additional benefits for riders.

10yrs experience of running Pedal & Post, growing it to 23 employees and £500,000 turnover. Chris is passionate about decarbonisation of cities and the potential of cargo bikes. He is educated in business management and marketing.

Jamie is a long-established social entrepreneur who founded both the Ethical Property Company and the crowdfunding platform Ethex. He has chaired Divine Chocolate, the Real Farming Trust, Zaytoun and Oxfordshire Community Action Groups. He also campaigns on transport issues locally.
Liz Sawyer

Liz is a keen cyclist and active travel campaigner. She is a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Oxford and a tutor and lecturer at Advanced Studies in England. She is also training to be a barrister.

Share price and potential return
The share price is £0.20 per share and must be purchased in increments of 5 (i.e £1) above the minimum investment of £500 (2,500 shares).
The intention of the Directors is to sell the business within the next 5 to 7 years in order to provide an exit for shareholders with an estimated rate of return of 16% (IRR) per annum. It is not the company’s intention to pay dividends within the 7-year period.
Getting your money out
This investment is in Ordinary Shares. These shares are transferable meaning it is possible to transfer ownership and the associated rights of the shares to a third party, however there is currently no secondary market provided in these shares and there are no guarantees that a buyer can be found for the price at which you are looking to sell at, or at all.
