Success for People Powered Retrofit and UKNAR

Thanks to more than 470 Ethex investors, two extraordinary organisations, People Powered Retrofit and UKNAR, smashed their target investment raises.

The Ethex team are celebrating the success of a further two investment raises on the platform this month. 

The People Powered Retrofit share offer closed having raised more than £737,000 in investments - 134% of their target of £550,000. This was boosted by £65,000 in match funding from MCS Charitable Foundation and Friends Provident Foundation. The investment will help the organisation to develop their ICT software, employ more software engineers and developers and enable them to support like-minded organisations and retrofit professionals to expand their own energy efficiency services, creating thousands more energy-efficient homes across the UK, taking action against climate change and fuel poverty.

And the UK National Asbestos Register (UKNAR) closed having raised over £476,000 - an amazing 173% of their original target of £275,000! This investment funding will help this pioneering organisation to develop a national asbestos register and roll out its software to help make more people aware of the presence of asbestos in buildings across the UK, helping to protect thousands of people from the deadly effects of asbestos exposure.
