Thrive Renewables PLC is a public company, initially founded by Triodos Bank in 1994. It is one of the most widely owned renewable energy companies in the UK with a community of 5,518 shareholders.

What they do

Thrive Renewables develops and operates small to medium-scale renewable energy projects across the UK. It now operates 19 onshore wind farms, one hydro-electric scheme and one solar farm. In 2017 Thrive Renewables raised £9.96m from 940 individuals via the Thrive Renewables PLC bond. In the same year Thrive also generated a record turnover of £15.6m and an operating profit of £4.4m.

The Thrive Community Energy Funding Bridge provides communities with the expertise, funding and certainty required to acquire operational renewable energy projects from commercial owners, then allows the community the time required to raise their own funding to replace Thrive Renewables.
